The Washington State International Kite Festival Poster Gallery highlights the rich history and artistic spirit of this beloved annual event held in Long Beach, Washington. Since 1987, beginning with the 6th annual festival, the poster contest has been an integral part of the celebration. The original winning poster was created by local artist Eric Wiegardt, who also designed the most recent poster in 2020.

 

The poster contest will be held again for the 45th annual festival in 2026, continuing the legacy of creativity and community pride. The gallery showcases this impressive collection of posters, offering visitors a visual journey through the festival’s history. Beyond their artistic value, these posters celebrate the spirit of collaboration and creativity that defines the Washington State International Kite Festival, inspiring new generations to embrace the joy of flight and community.
