These delicate kites are carefully handmade, often as unique, one-of-a-kind creations, showcasing incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail. Despite their small size, many of these kites are fully functional and can be flown, highlighting the skill and precision required to assemble them.

This exhibit celebrates the artistry of miniature kite makers, featuring a variety of exceptional pieces from around the world. At its heart, the exhibit follows the story and craft of Charlie Sotich, a beloved figure in the kite community known for his dedication and mastery of miniature kite making. Through his work and that of other talented artisans, the exhibit explores the fascinating blend of creativity, tradition, and technical skill that brings these tiny kites to life, inviting visitors to appreciate the beauty and wonder packed into such small-scale creations.
